Reassessing the experience of walking on the continuous surface of the territory.
Field Expansions inquires the physicality of temporary and transitory structures that regulate flows in the city. By their nature and materiality these are objects that come close to the idea of ‘meta-objects’, signs with a universal reading that direct behaviours and establish borders in the territory – nomadic objects detached from the specificities of place. To look at the landscape is to perceive its successive layers, a movement of conscious understanding of one’s own presence.
